Surplus Supplies: Many people stock up on deodorant, shampoo and other supplies when they do a large shopping. These items clog up the usable space in the bathroom and make it very difficult to keep the bathroom storage space organized. One important way to create better bathroom organization is to remove these items from the bathroom altogether, or at least to contain them. Purchase a large storage container and label it clearly to say "bathroom surplus" or another similar title. Then, place all of your extras in this container, and keep it with your other storage items. If you don't have storage space, then keep it in the bathroom, but place it directly under the sink and make sure that all surplus supplies continue to be placed together, in this designated container.
To further prevent slips and falls, install grab bars in strategic areas within your bathroom such as in and around the bath tub, the shower, and the toilet. Most grab bars are made of stainless steel, which can become slippery, too, so you might want to put rubber grip pads on your grab bars.
Many kitchen and bathroom furniture's are starting to have a more open design. Bathroom design ideas are moving towards more open materials. Bathroom cabinets are becoming more like furniture pieces with legs and drawers. This creates a more lived in feel for the design and helps to avoid the utilitarian look of most bathroom cabinetry.
